INTERNATIONAL
CONGRESS

OF ANAESTHESIOLOGISTS
AND INTENSIVISTS

About the event

The central theme of the 9th International Congress of Anaesthesiologists and Intensivists in Slovenia

will be a comprehensive overview of advancements in our field, with a focus on perioperative patient care. The programme is designed to include current topics which are essential for daily clinical practice with some provocative aspects at times. Goal of this professional meeting is to encourage professional dialogue and the dissemination of new evidence-based findings into routine clinical practice.

We will address innovations and challenges from all areas of our work: airway management, mechanical ventilation, haemodynamics, brain monitoring and protection, pain management, ERAS, nutrition, factors influencing patient outcomes, selected specifics of paediatric anaesthesia, and the care of parturient. The lectures will be modern, the speakers engaging, and the lecture duration strictly time-limited. Compared to the previous congress, we have made every effort to ensure that all topics are new and current.

We believe that the programme, together with the accompanying events, will inspire you and encourage you to join us at the largest event in Slovenia in the field of anaesthesiology, resuscitation, pain management, and perioperative intensive medicine.

Kind regards,
Assist. Prof. Marko Zdravković, MD, PhD
President of SSAIM

A special place in the programme has been dedicated to selected topics in the form of plenary lectures, which will cover anaesthesia care in developing countries, modern airway management with videolaryngoscopy, intravenous anaesthesia, staff fatigue and well-being, research, and the technological progress brought by digitalisation. To ensure broad accessibility of the congress, we have kept the registration fees at the same level as in 2017 and 2022. Lecture slides will be in English, while presentations will be delivered in Slovenian or English. Simultaneous translation into English or Slovenian will be available.
